Rhythms of Ybor

This documentary, set in Ybor City, Tampa, consists of a series of street interviews with people sharing their thoughts and experiences about Ybor. As the conversations unfold, the film naturally drifts beyond the surface, delving into the personal stories and lives of those we meet—using Ybor as a starting point but uncovering much more. By interviewing those of different social standing in the area, the project captures a wide spectrum of perspectives, highlighting the contrast, complexity, and humanity within the city. I served as Co-Director, Camera Operator, and Co-Editor on this project. It provided valuable hands-on experience working in unpredictable, real-world environments where flexibility and adaptability were essential. Filming on the streets, outside of controlled sets, challenged me to move with the moment and find creative solutions on the fly. The project is currently still in post-production with further editing and refinement in progress
